How to
1. Create your own website
Log in to the administration system and select the 'Create Site' option. This will give you a screen giving you the choice of which graphic to use at the top of the page, and what name to give your site.
You can change the graphic at any time, so just select any one you like. The name you cannot change and is unique to you. It defines the domain of your website in the form 'yourname.tuwawiagent.com'. It would typically be your own name or your company name. Keep it short, as your visitors have to type this in to see your website. Don't use any spaces or symbols either. An example would be 'mikejones.tuwawiagent.com'.
When you've chosen this, hit the 'create site now' button, and the system will generate the website. The website will be available immediately so you can view it at 'http://www.tuwawiagentspain.com/yourname' and within 24hrs at 'http://yourname.tuwawiagent.com' as well.
You can re-create your site at any time. It will overwrite your existing website, but will never affect your listings, or details.
If you want to change any aspects of your website, go to the admin menu, and then select 'Upload Logo'.
2. Uploading a logo and other website options
This screen allows you to upload a graphic from your PC onto the system, to be displayed on your website. The graphic should be less than 100 pixels tall, and 200 pixels wide. The system will accept either GIF of JPG formats. GIF format has the added advantage that if your logo has transparent parts, or is not a rectangle, the background can show through making for a more professional look.
After you've uploaded the image, it may not show up immediately. Don't worry, as your browser may have cached the old one. Make sure you also click on the 'Show this logo on my website' box.
Further down the page, you can see three text boxes titled Meta Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords. These will not affect the look or operation of your website, but will affect how search-engines view them.
If you change any of these or change your logo, you will need to re-create your site in order for them to come into effect.
Meta Title
The Meta Title is what your new site will have as a page title. This is
relevant to search engines, and will also be the description that shows
in a persons taskbar at the bottom of the screen when viewing your site.
Typically, you might use your company name, with a very short description as the Meta Title, e.g: "MyCompany Real-Estate - Your local Marbella Realtor"
Meta Description
This is primarily for search-engines to use as a description for your site.
Use it to give an honest description of what your business is about, e.g.
the area and location and exactly what you do. You can inclue your company
name in as well.
This text will often appear in search-engines description of your site, e.g: "A realty company based in Marbella, Spain specialising in luxurious villas in exclusive suburbs."
Meta Keywords
These are keywords to indicate to search-engines what your site is about.
Simply include a short list of words and phrases, separated by commas, e.g:
"real-estate,villas,apartments,costa-del-sol,marbella"
3. Changing your Home Page
Your home page is where you can write a few paragraphs to introduce your company to your visitors. This will be the first page that people see, so it's important what you say.
The website comes complete with a few paragraphs of text, but you can change this simple using the 'Edit Front Page' option from the admin menu.
On this screen, you will see the existing text for your front page. Simple amend this or replace it using the word-processor on screen. You can use different fonts, colours, headings, bold, italic and so on, so tailor it to your requirements.
